Al hidayah Towers Project

Hidayah Towers Project-site is located on the Hidayah Street, in the southern side of the Aziziah District, Holy Makkah. It’s considered as a strategic location. That’s because it lies on the street leading to  and from Holy places, and the Expressway to Holy Haram. As well as it’s location on the ring road leading to Jeddah- Makkah Expressway.

The total area of the project is 25,000m² divided into two zones: Zone-“A” and Zone-“B”. The owner of this land/site is Her Royal Highness Princess Jawhara Ibrahim Al brahim.

Scope of Work

The Project scope of work includes excavation and removal of approximately 350,000 m³ earth. Of this 350,000 m³, some 300,000m³ is estimated to be weathered rock and loose soil. The balance remaining 50,000m³ is considered to be a hard rock.

Project Duration

The contracted period of the project is 5 (five) months starting from 31 July, 2010

(corresponding to 19/8/1431AH).

Accompanying  Works

1. Demolition of a villa: The work started with demolition of a villa located on the project site.
2. Blasting of hard rock: Throughout this project, all of the blasting work will be carried out entirely by our own Blasting Team. They’re highly-qualified and well-experienced for these types of works. Blasting works involves precision in execution by applying the best technical method of blasting and with a highest quality and safety standards, . To safeguard public-security, the relevant civil authorities (such as the Police and Makkah Municipality) would directly supervise the blasting works.
3. Dozing and Haulage: Dozing and hauling of resulted debris and spoils will be carried out by our large fleet of bulldozers, excavators, shovels and dump trucks. Thus, the result spoils and debris will be removed and transported to the authorized public dumping areas. While carrying out these operations, we will give great attention to keep the area clean and and safe. As always, we’ll ensure zero-impact on the surrounding buildings, public utilities, roads, etc.
4. Rock support: After successful blasting and haulage of debris, the remaining rock faces will get treated with appropriate rock-support on all circumference of the project by using:
   1. Rock Anchoring Method - the support will be up to of 13m in depth which is the designated excavation depth of the project. The other type of rock supports used are
   2. Rock Bolting and
   3. Shotcreting – This will be applied as well wherever needed and necessary in the project-site area.

Dewatering : Pumping out of surface water from the level of -4m down to the level of -13m will be carried out and dispense in the public drainage channel after getting permission from the Public Water and Sewage/Drainage  Authorities.
