Aggregates Quarries

Since last few years, there’s been a huge construction boom in the Kingdom, especially in Makkah region. This includes the construction and expansion projects for the Holy Mosque in Makkah.

Additionally, there’s been a record surge in the construction of several new bridges, flyovers, underpasses, roads, as well as high-rise buildings.

Such construction projects often need crushed rocks (aggregates) as fillers, aggregates, mixing in concrete, etc. For example aggregates are used as added fillers in asphalt, concrete, bricks, tiles, etc.

The aggregate is produced in crushing plants. A crushing plant is a heavy machine in which large-sized rocks are fed. The plant grinds the feed rocks to smaller sizes depending on the settings for the desired output size of rocks. Large chunks of rocks are fed into the crusher. The machine is adjusted so as to crush or grind the feed rocks from say about 50cm to as small as  1 cms.

Thus there’s a strong business opportunity in producing and supplying crushed rocks to the civil-works industry for their manufacturing and production needs.

Sami Rock Company has geared up to avail this opportunity. It has the necessary manpower, technology, and of course the heavy-duty equipment to meet the clients’ needs. Plus, it has not one but two (2) business-licenses to quarry and produce crushed rocks from the following two regions:

1.  Quarries complex in Masad’dat Idd Mountain at Al Shimaisy (near Jeddah). This site is spread over an area of 200,000 m². It will be used to produce different kinds of pebbles ranging from 10mm to 25 mm. These pebbles will be used in such civil works as roads, production of asphalt, precast concrete and also to supply to local concrete-tiles factories..

2.  Quarries complex in Jamoom (Shabragan Mountain) in Makkah area. This site covers an area of 250,000 m².

Additionally, Sami Rock Company has deployed a Svedala Model R150 mobile stone-crusher machine in the Makkah Region. It has a operation capacity of 500 ton/hour. And currently it’s set to take 70cm x 70cm rocks and crush them to smaller sizes as small as 10cm x 10cm, approximately.
